Description:
North Michigan Avenue, “The Magnificent Mile”, is the largest shopping district in Chicago. It is also has the largest concentration of street performers in the city. In Sweeping, a man sweeps a segment of Michigan Avenue as stores are closing during the busiest shopping day of the year. His action is slow and futile. The snow falls. The video plays back this action at 10 times the recorded speed. The action then takes place at a normal speed as the world speeds by.
